Simple Minds Perth 2027

The essentials for Simple Minds Perth 2027

Here is what is official. Simple Minds is confirmed for Saturday 13 February 2027 at RAC Arena, as part of Simple Minds Australia & NZ 2027. Perth date or dates on record: Saturday 13 February 2027.

Support: Gary Numan. On sale since Friday 19 June 2026.

It is one of the Concert dates already locked into the Perth 2027 calendar, so the usual question of whether the tour reaches the west is settled.

Perth dates tend to be announced alongside the east-coast shows but can sell on a slightly different rhythm. Because the city is two or three hours behind, a general sale that starts at a round hour in Sydney or Melbourne lands very early in the Perth morning, and the queue can be well under way before many locals are at their desks. Where a sale has already happened, unsold seats and production holds are often released later, sometimes in the final week before the show.

We keep an eye on that for you. The free alert sends news of extra releases, added dates and any change of venue or time for Simple Minds at RAC Arena, with the official ticketing link and nothing from resale sites.

Everything on this page comes from the official announcement and our own checks of the ticket listing; if something is not confirmed, it is labelled as such. Refund and transfer terms are those of the official ticketing company.

About the venue for Simple Minds Perth 2027

Simple Minds plays RAC Arena, one of the rooms Perth relies on for Concert tours. Knowing the venue before you buy is useful here, because the city’s major sites differ a lot: a stadium bowl in Burswood, an arena with a retractable roof on Wellington Street, art-deco and modern theatres in Mount Lawley, Subiaco and the CBD, compact clubs in Northbridge, and outdoor spaces in Fremantle and on the riverfront.

Check the seating map on the official ticketing page rather than relying on general descriptions. Arena and theatre plans change from tour to tour depending on where the stage sits and whether the floor is standing or seated, and some outdoor events in Perth are general admission across the whole site.

RAC Arena sits on Wellington Street at the western edge of the CBD, so you can reach it without a car. Buses from the Perth Busport in the City Link precinct and along Wellington Street drop you within a few minutes of the doors, and City West station on the Fremantle line is a few minutes’ walk west. From Perth station or Perth Underground (trains from Joondalup, Mandurah, Midland, Armadale and the airport line) allow around ten to fifteen minutes on foot along Wellington Street. The free CAT buses that loop the city stop nearby. Parking in surrounding city car parks fills early on show nights and exits slowly afterwards, so public transport is usually the faster way home.

Venue conditions — bag sizes, re-entry, age limits, accessible seating and Companion Card bookings — are set by RAC Arena and the promoter for each event. They are listed with the ticket and are worth reading before the day, especially for outdoor summer shows where sunscreen and water rules can differ from indoor ones. If in doubt, contact the venue before the day rather than at the gate.

Presale and on-sale for Simple Minds Perth 2027

If you are reading this before tickets for Simple Minds have opened, the most important number is not the price but the time. On-sales for national tours are usually announced with an eastern start time, and Perth runs on AWST all year. A 9am sale in Sydney during daylight saving opens at 6am in Perth; the same sale in winter opens at 7am.

• Sign up to the artist’s mailing list and the promoter’s list; those are the presale codes that circulate first.
• Check your bank card and phone plan: Amex, Mastercard, Telstra Plus and Optus Perks all run presales for some tours.
• Log in to Ticketek or Ticketmaster before the queue opens and keep payment details ready.
• Do not refresh a queue page; your place is held by the browser session.

If tickets are already on sale, the same tools help with later releases: production holds and returned seats tend to appear without much warning, and they go quickly in a city where there is often only one night.

Our free alert covers both cases for Simple Minds at RAC Arena, with every time quoted in WA time.

Ticket prices for Simple Minds Perth 2027

The official price list for Simple Minds at RAC Arena is the one shown by the ticketing company, and it can change during the sale if dynamic pricing is used. As a guide, comparable Concert shows in Australia have been priced roughly as follows, in Australian dollars before fees:

• Cheapest reserved or restricted-view seats: about A$99–A$139.
• General admission or mid-range seats: about A$139–A$189.
• Premium reserved seats: about A$189–A$239.
• VIP and hospitality packages: about A$239–A$299 or more.

Smaller venues usually have fewer tiers, which narrows the spread towards A$99–A$169; stadium and large outdoor events stretch it in both directions.

Booking fees, payment surcharges and delivery charges are added at checkout and are not included above. Ticket insurance is optional. If you see prices well above these ranges on a site that is not the official seller, you are probably looking at resale.

When the official prices for Simple Minds change or new price levels are released, we send it to the alert list. If you are buying for a group, check the per-order ticket limit before the sale: it is usually set per account and enforced across presale and general sale.

Planning your night at Simple Minds in Perth

Getting to RAC Arena is straightforward if you lean on public transport.

Transperth’s SmartRider works across trains, buses and ferries, and every suburban rail line feeds into either Perth station or Perth Underground, a few minutes’ walk apart. Allow extra time after major events: the platforms at Perth Stadium, Perth and Perth Underground are managed with queues at busy finishes.

Weather matters in a Perth year. Summer shows can follow 35-degree-plus days, and outdoor gates often open in daylight; take a hat and water where allowed and expect the evening to cool once the sea breeze arrives. Autumn is the most comfortable season for outdoor gigs; winter means rain jackets rather than cold.

For dinner beforehand, Northbridge and the Perth CBD suit RAC Arena, the Riverside and Metro City; Beaufort Street is the obvious choice before the Astor; Fremantle’s cafe strip and the Fishing Boat Harbour area work for shows in the port. Book ahead on big nights.

Any change of start time for Simple Minds goes out on the alert, together with transport updates for the night.

Making the most of Simple Minds Perth

Simple Minds brings Simple Minds Australia & NZ 2027 to RAC Arena — dates on record: Saturday 13 February 2027. Rock in Perth usually means a full Astor in Mount Lawley or a hot Metropolis floor in Fremantle, the port town where Bon Scott grew up.

Practically, the night will run on the venue’s timetable: doors, one or more supports, then the headline set, with an end time that is usually published closer to the show. Merchandise stands open with the doors and queues are shortest in the first half-hour or during the support set.

If you are deciding whether to go, consider how often Rock / New wave acts of this standing come west. Many tours do one Perth night or none, and the next chance may be years away. If the show is sold out, keep the alert active: returned and re-released seats are common, and we send them the moment they appear. Buying through the official resale service keeps you within the rules and protects you against invalid tickets.
