HBF Park at a glance

The ground began life over a century ago as Perth Oval, an Australian football venue, before being rebuilt as a rectangular stadium. It traded as Members Equity Stadium and nib Stadium before HBF took the naming rights in 2018; the current agreement runs through 2027. Perth Glory in the A-League and the Western Force in Super Rugby call it home. Its size sits neatly between the arena and the big stadium, which makes it the obvious choice for rock tours that would leave the 60,000-seat bowl half-empty. On 25 January 2027 Foo Fighters bring the Take Cover Tour here. For concerts the stage usually goes at one end of the pitch, with a protected standing area on the turf and seating in the grandstands around it, which keeps even the far rows within a reasonable distance.

Getting to HBF Park

HBF Park is on the north-eastern fringe of the CBD and is one of the easiest big venues to reach on foot. McIver station, one stop out from Perth station on the Midland, Airport and Ellenbrook lines, is a short walk from the gates, and Claisebrook station is also close. From Perth station itself it is roughly a 15-minute walk east. On-street parking in the surrounding residential streets is tightly controlled on event days, so leave the car at home if you can. After the encore, the walk back into Northbridge is short and well lit.

Before your HBF Park concert

The stands hug the pitch, so even the back rows of the main grandstands feel close. For a stadium show, the standing field fills fast from gates-open; if you want the front, arrive early and bring a hat. Northbridge and the East Perth riverside are the obvious places to eat beforehand, and both are walkable. Check whether your seat is under cover: some stands are roofed, others are open to the sky.
